I am writing this memorial for my brother and his family, in honor of a very special girl named Ruby that crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday.
Ruby has been such a special part of our family…but she is also very special to me as she was the first puppy we got into Austin Boxer Rescue when we started back in 2006.
She was given to ABR because she had ring worm at 6 weeks old. She did her time in quarantine at Soco until she was ready for adoption. I just so happened to have two little nieces who just lost their senior boxer and were wishing for a new boxer puppy to love.
Ruby’s time alone really molded her personality. She was very strong and independent. She was ever so loyal to her people, and always by my brother’s side.
With my nieces now both at University of Texas, and she at 14 going on 15 years old…it was time for her to leave us. She had such an amazing spirit and had a long, beautiful love-filled life. Our family will miss her dearly.
We love you Ruby. The Ranslem Family & Dana (ABR Adoption Coordinator)
