Austin Boxer Rescue
We do our best to find foster homes for all of our boxers until they are adopted but like Sedona, some stay in boarding for a while. We have wonderful staff at the kennel, but there is no doubt they are happiest in a loving home. We cannot stress enough how important our foster families are to the rescue. Please consider fostering for ABR. FROM Sedona’s foster: We sprung ABR Sedona (“Donut”) out of boarding this past Saturday. I’m told she was one of the long-time residents there and a favorite amongst the volunteers. Sweet beautiful silver faced senior with the cutest one tooth underbite and an adorable head tilt. When we got home, she hopped in the bathtub with the water running for a bath, ran around the house checking everything out, snuggles, good meal, then lots of naps in several different beds (cutest tiny snores). She found the toy box and chose a couple that were her favorite. She learned the house rules quickly and has been a great guest 💝 She even went potty in the rain! I can’t say enough great things about this sweet old gal. Sadly, Sedona crossed the rainbow bridge this week. How do we fall in love so quickly with these fur babies?! She knew pure love from every single person she met throughout her ABR journey. We are trying to find solace in the fact that she made it out of boarding and into our home where she could run, play, eat, be spoiled and sleep soundly. Even though we were “just” fostering her, she was part of our little family from the second she hopped in our car. She will be missed tremendously by us, and many others who met her. Rest easy sweet Donut 💔💝 ... See MoreSee Less
