LibertyFebruary 22, 2014 marked our first year together and what a year it has been. When I brought her home last year, she had just gone through surgery for numerous tumors and also through heartworm treatment. She slowly worked her way through the pain and discomfort and became an incredible part of my life. After she had been with me several months and doing very well, she was bitten by a rattlesnake. Once again, through her determination and many, many prayers from dozens of wonderful people, she pulled through and has experienced an amazing life with me. Unfortunately, February 22, turned from a day of celebrating our first year together into one of great sadness. Liberty was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. I kept her on medication and being the tough little girl that she was, she was determined to not go without a fight. She hung in there and I kept her comfortable and loved her as much as anyone possibly could but sadly, on March 22, her body just couldnโ€™t continue and she passed from this world. Although my heart is breaking, I know that my angel has returned to heaven and is in the company of all of my sweet angels that are always with me in spirit. I canโ€™t put into words how much this little girl has blessed my life and I am honored to have been the one that she chose to spend the final year of her life with. Thanks to all of you at ABR for what you do for the amazing animals. Without you guys, I would have never met this sweet, sweet spirit.

To my baby girl…run, play, be free…until we meet again.
