DSCN2195_250x250Dear Austin Boxer Rescue-
I just wanted to send along an update on how Daisy (aka Darling) is doing. She has been with us for 22 days now and is up to around 45 lbs. She just visited one set of grandparents on a farm over Christmas and she RAN. She had a great time with the kids and other dogs. She barely slept for 24 hours. She is a big kisser and is completely convinced she is a lap dog – even though she doesn’t really fit on a lap. She has been a great joy in our house – even though our cats are still not totally convinced. They are coming around but she does a fantastic jump-spin when she wants to play and they just don’t know what to do with all the energy! Her tongue hangs out to the left ALL THE TIME – it is adorable. She is learning commands quickly and loves to go for walks around Town Lake with her cairn terrier playmate.

I’ve attached a photo to add to your archives. It is amazing how fast she has settled in and gotten healthy.

Thanks for all your hard work. By the way, the lump on her back is a sebaceous cyst and the vet recommended not removing it because the surgical trauma isn’t worth it. We will keep an eye on it. I hope it might resolve itself as she gets healthier.

Sincerely,
Dawn Johnson, Steve West and Daisy
