Hello,

I adopted Penelope back in November of 2012 and I can honestly say that I have never made a better decision in my life.

I may be a little biased, but I think she is the cutest, sweetest, cuddle bug that there ever was! It is because of this that she has become a tad spoiled by making her way onto the couch for snuggles and into the bed in the mornings after her first of four walks a day. She helps keep my feet warm while she naps on my feet, under my desk, while I work. My little shadow is never far from my side. Even when she is a little mischievous (stealing a guests $15 salami) you can’t look at that face without laughing!

She is a smarty pants too! She has mastered sit, wait and lay down and goes willingly into her crate at night to get her cookie. It’s a tough life, but she is bearing up to the challenge well.

In all seriousness, I am the one who has gained so much. Penelope makes me laugh everyday and keeping her fit and healthy is getting me fit and healthy! She’s brought so much to my life that I didn’t even know was missing. I want to thank ABR for helping to match me with the right pooch and her foster parents (the Kotal’s) for rescuing and keeping this gorgeous girl until she and I could meet! I encourage anyone who is thinking of adopting to do it and to go through ABR. They’ll never regret it!
