We recently adopted our 2nd boxer with ABR and are SO glad we did. We had adopted Tyson (aka Thriller) back in the summer of 2009 after deciding our 2 year old yellow lab, Jagger, needed a brother and buddy for life. The bond that these two dogs share is unbreakable and has given each the companionship that many of us desire in life with friendship. Due to the strong bond these two have formed has only made me wonder that in the event anything happened to the other how devastating they would be to not have a companion to continue through life with. I had been on Facebook one day when I read a very heartbreaking story of a little 8 month old boxer named Daisy. She had been brought into the vet weighing only 19 lbs and had been overdosed on medication to treat her serious mange condition. I knew at that moment if she was still available that she would be the next dog we decided to adopt. I contacted Tyson’s foster mom, Marie, and within a few days we had the pleasure to meet Daisy. She immediately became part of the family and has settled in very nicely. We know she may never be her true size but her spirit is larger than life! The life that our dogs have in our home and the joy they share gives me new meaning to life. Live each day to the fullest and enjoy each moment. Daisy and Tyson have found their forever homes and I thank ABR and the volunteers that continue to help these angels selflessly…I wouldn’t have the joy in my life if it wasn’t for them.
Thank you ABR!
