When I told Jen from ABR that I wanted an older dog that was crate trained, house-broken, cat friendly, and social, I thought she would never be able to deliver. After much thought and deliberation, Jen introduced me to Reyna, a 6 year old female Boxer. Reyna was rescued from the Brownwood shelter after her family surrendered her and 14 other dogs during a divorce. She was intact, covered in fleas and ticks, heartworm positive, and had an embedded collar. As soon as I met this special “old lady” I knew she was the one for me. Reyna and I immediately fell in love and she has proven to be the most remarkable dog I’ve ever known. Since her rescue, Reyna has been spayed, treated for heartworms, and loved immeasurably. Besides being a little shy around men, she’s loyal, affectionate, and playful. I cannot thank ABR enough for their unconditional dedication to saving animals’ lives and for uniting Reyna and me. Thanks for everything!
