We adopted Erikson from ABR almost 8 years ago and just lost him unexpectedly the day after Christmas.
He was one of several foster failures. We could not let him go to anyone else especially after the quick bond he made with another one of our fosters Sinead.
Erikson brought so much joy, laughs, millions of tail wiggles and so much love to our family over the last 8 years. He was the happiest and laziest dog we’ve ever had. His tail never stopped wagging and he ran with his two front and back feet at the same time. He was such a goof ball.
He was known for his abnormally long tongue that was always hanging out of his mouth.
He spent most of his time on the couch sleeping, sunbathing and attached to Sinead.
Erikson and Sinead were connected at the hip from the moment they met. They had the strongest bond and love for each other that I’ve ever seen in dogs.
Erikson welcomed so many foster dogs in our home over the years, like he knew what those dogs were going through.
Erikson loved our kids but he had the most love for our oldest son. He slept with him almost every night curled up right next to him.
We miss his dearly and will honor him by rescuing another dog at some point.
RIP sweet boy. Until we meet again at the rainbow bridge.
