Virtual foster recipient – thank you Frank McReynolds.
This guy is a survivor with a great attitude. He was living on the streets, being fed by a kind person, and was attacked by coyotes or other dogs. When we finally got him to a vet he had bite wounds all over and his chest was torn open. His wounds have healed beautifully and he is nearing the end of the medications to help him heal from life on the streets. Through all this, Titan loves his people and is a happy boy who never met a stranger.
Titan is about 2 ½ years old, 60 pounds, with a flashy fawn coat and docked tail. He has not been able to meet the other dogs in the home while he was healing so we can’t say for sure how he is with them, and he does not live with cats or kids at the moment. He is still quite a bit of a puppy who loves to play and loves to snuggle. He is house and leash trained but not a fan of his crate. Oh, and he can jump a 6 foot fence before you can call his name.
Titan is heartworm positive but does not appear to be symptomatic; in any case ABR will work with you for his treatment. Titan looks at the deer and other dogs on his walks but doesn’t react to them. He likes big, soft blankets and a warm lap. He takes direction well and is eager to please. He has a good bit of “growing up” to do and he’s making a good start now he’s safe, loved and healing. You can see how far he has come from his photos, just imagine how much farther you can go together.
