This tiny little girl is getting special attention in her foster home. Polly came to us at 30 pounds, very emaciated, scared and with ringworm. This one year old is gradually getting her beautiful, soft coat back; she is gaining weight appropriately; and her confidence is growing right along with her coat. She is a fawn beauty with a cute underbite and a growing joy for life. Sometimes on her walks she will act as though she is afraid of the grass, then she will hop onto the grass, do her business, and hop back off.
Polly is house and crate trained and is a very easy walker. She is heartworm negative and will be spayed and healthy soon. She has learned that snuggles are good and will hop onto the couch and roll onto her back for some belly rubs. Now she gets very happy when her foster dad gets her leash and eagerly follows him out for a walk.
Polly is dog friendly and enjoyed meeting a neighbor dog. She does not live with cats or kids, but she has a pretty even temperament and a medium energy with that Boxer puppy curiosity. It’s very rewarding for her foster dad to help her recover and blossom into a beautiful, happy Boxer. It’s even more rewarding to help her on the next step from forgotten to her forever family.
