Dixie was malnourished and skittish when her foster mom took her in, but she’s filled out and settled down. A “slow eat” bowl helps Dixie not gulp her food, but now she knows she’s safe and fed, she is not constantly foraging. Dixie is house, crate and leash trained and up to date on her shots. She is heartworm negative.
Dixie does well with dogs her size and bigger, but not with small dogs or cats. We don’t know how she does with kids, but her energy level suggests kids need to be 12 and older. Dixie does have a high prey drive so she is not compatible with small creatures. Doesn’t she sound just about perfect for an active family, or someone who loves to jog or walk or have a companion with them in the outdoors?
