Darby

Virtual foster recipient –  Thank you Cindy McWhirther!
Darby’s name was chosen to honor a dog that did not make it out of a shelter.
This pretty brindle girl is named Darby. She’s about 5 years old, heartworm negative, healthy and a professional snuggler. She has a tiny nub and her whole body gets in on the action when she’s happy. Her foster mom says she’s very wiggly and goofy. Darby pays attention and learns quickly and is very obedient.

She is house and crate trained even though she has not been destructive in the house. She is working on leash manners but it’s hard to stop chasing squirrels and greeting humans just because she’s on a leash. Darby likes to run around the backyard and play, but her favorite thing is snuggling up on her foster mom. Darby does not live with kids and we know she is not cat friendly. She, like many of our females, does not get on well with other female dogs, but she can do OK with a male with slow, supervised introductions.

Darby can give you the biggest sad eyes for a treat and wiggle her whole body when she’s a good girl. She is a perfect house guest and could greet you with her whole body wiggles and big sad eyes if you give her a chance.
