Centaurus is a one year old male mixed Boxer pup. He was adopted from ABR but came back as he was “too much” for his original adopters; we do our best to educate folks about the energy and curiosity of Boxer pups, but sometimes their cuteness wins anyway. Centaurus is now part of a foster family whose adults work from home and his female Boxer host doesn’t mind having a youngster bother her. He’s doing great. He is learning commands, especially to wait for his food and treats, and is coming along nicely. He is getting better on leash, typically the longer the walk the better he gets, but then there are those darned squirrels, and birds, and blowing candy wrappers. Remember, he is a puppy still.

Centaurus is not a crazy active puppy, he’s actually quite calm and gradually becoming independent. He follows his people about and soaks up attention. He is learning how to play as well as what the rules are from his fur buddy. He is sweet and gentle. Centaurus may do best in a home with other dogs and a family who is home a lot. He is house, crate and leash trained and has not been destructive in the house.
