Virtual Foster is Cindy McWhirter – Thank You!!

How can you resist a big, beautiful 3 year old Boxer boy? Bowie has a beautiful white coat with a patch on his head, big floppy ears, and a very useful full tail. He’s about 65 pounds now and will likely fill out around 70. Bowie has some wear and tear from his previous life outside on concrete, but those fade along with his history as he settles into his new life with family and fur friends. He was initially a bit timid and unsure in his foster home, but his 2 Boxer hosts, 2 dog savvy kids and foster parents helped him learn he was safe and secure.

Bowie seems to love his new life with a family where he can play with his fur buddies, walk as part of the  pack, play with toys and learn how to play with little skin kids. He’s already learned one of them likes to play tug and he can give them both tiny kisses sometimes. He is heartworm positive, but not symptomatic. ABR will explain the options and help with treatment. Bowie is otherwise healthy, neutered and happy. We know he is good with dogs and kids, but don’t know how he relates to cats.

He is of course house and crate trained and is eager to learn about family life. There is just something special about a big, tall, proud Boxer that makes folks take a long look and ask “can I pet him?” Bowie might offer a tiny kiss in return.
