Just in time for the winter season, we have Snowy. She’s a big female, around 65 pounds and yes, she has a white coat with an eye patch and eyeliner under both eyes. Her natural tail makes her look like Chubby Checker doing the twist when she wiggles, according to her previous foster mom. Now she lives with a foster family with a young teen who she adores.

She’s a smart cookie who learns quickly and then has that Boxer “what’s it worth” hesitation when asked for repeat performances. Her cute little underbite adds just a touch of boldness to her moment of consideration. Seeing as she loves praise, treats, food and pleasing her people the hesitation is just a brief bargain for maybe a bigger treat? Snowy lived with a 3 year old male Boxer in her foster home and they were fast buddies. She loves toys and is an experienced surgeon for removing squeakers.

She is sweet as a snow cone and takes direction very well. She’s learning about walking on a leash but there are so many new things, but she gets better with every walk. Snowy is house trained and crate trained and a very sensitive girl who really wants to please her people. She loves to snuggle and watch tv and will fall asleep in your lap. She, like many of our rescues, is a bit hesitant with new adult men, but once trust is earned she’s a lover.

She is heartworm positive and not symptomatic. As always, ABR will explain the options for treatment and help with it as well. She would likely do best with kids 5 or older just because she’s such a big wigglebutt. She has been curious about the cats she’s met although she does not currently live with any. Snowy is a real beauty whose sweet, loving personality has come out now she knows what love and a family means. This beauty is ready to watch tv with you any time.
