Francie Nolan was named through the ABR Name A Boxer program, and ABR will always know her by this name, even if her forever family does not. This Francie was found as a stray in heat in the Waco area. Francie Nolan, our Boxer, is a small to medium size female with a fawn coat, docked tail and natural ears. While she is pretty emaciated from her travels, she is gaining weight, confidence and trust in her foster home.
Francie lives with 2 two year old Boxers and several cats, and while she is not as energetic as they are, she enjoys their company and plays until she’s ready for a nap. Her energy level is gradually increasing from moderate as she regains her strength and learns it is safe to play and be less guarded in her foster home. This little sweetheart is house trained, crate trained, leash trained and is just learning how to play with toys.
Francie Nolan has a little further to go be fully vetted and spayed before she can join her forever family, but this curious, happy, 5 to 6 year old girl will complete a family as a member of the pack, or as an only dog.
Francie Nolan was named by Carolyn Johnson in honor of the character in her favorite novel, “A Tree Grows In Brooklyn.”
