This sweet, little 2 to 3 year old is yet another Boxer rescued from the Palm valley area. She is gradually gaining weight and is set for surgery to be spayed and have a growth removed in late January. Elaine is a very pretty fawn with just a touch of white. She’s had it pretty rough until now, but now she has a Boxer buddy and a foster family that loves and protects her. She, as all rescues from the area do, is getting preventive medications for tick borne illness. She is heartworm positive and not symptomatic. ABR will explain the options and help with treatment that is not necessarily difficult at her age.
Elaine is over the moon happy to have a family to follow around and be near. She is as sweet and loving as they come, and she gets along with other dogs too. She’s a little grabby with food, but many rescues are until they learn they are not going to be starved again. This little girl is house trained and crate trained and is learning basic commands too. The Boxer spirit is so amazing that even after such a rough start this little girl can still trust her humans and her dog buddies. She just needs love, protection and structure.
