We’ve said it before, ABR takes young ones, old ones, blind ones, deaf ones, sick ones, broken ones, skinny ones, fat ones, sad ones, happy ones… if it’s Boxer and we have room in our kennel or foster homes, we RESCUE them. As you can see, Daffodil was probably hit by a car and dragged as she had deep, infected abrasions all over, and her left back leg had to be amputated. Fortunately Daffodil has a foster mom and 2 Boxer hosts who dote on her and help her heal. She’s come from a scared and broken 2 year old to a playful, confident young female thanks to their care.

Daffodil has a very flashy, almost checked, fawn and white coat that glistens like ginger in the sun. And those eyes, oh my those eyes. She is gorgeous, now healthy and heartworm negative. She’s worked up to a 20 minute walk before tiring; it takes a while to find the right rhythm for a walk with a 3 legged dog, and for her to build her muscle and stamina. Daffodil is house, crate and leash trained and loves being part of the family.

She loves her toys and searching through the toy box for a surprise. She is always near her humans and/or Boxer friends. She is very smart and has learned the rules and commands very quickly. This girl has loved every person and dog she has met. Chewies are her favorite although she will drag a sock or shoe around from time to time. She has not chewed one of them yet. She would be a terrific addition to your family, with or without a fur buddy. Thanks to ABR and her special foster family, she is here and ready for her forever family.
