Art Zachary

Named by Carolyn & Ken Johnson in memory of James’ husband and Adrian’s Tio.

Art Zachary is a very handsome 2 year old white male with brown spots all over, a docked tail, floppy ears and one blue eye. He is deaf but you may not notice that if we hadn’t told you. He is healthy, happy, a snuggler and heartworm negative.

He fit into a foster home with 5 other dogs from large to small and a cat. The other dogs will play when invited, but that cat is kinda cranky. No matter, Art Zachary gets the message and invites that cat to play again a little later. He’s a great medium energy guy who loves laps, plush toys and following his foster mom. As with all of our deaf or blind fosters, he cannot be placed with children younger than 12 as they may not understand his limitations.

He is house, crate and leash trained and does not mind spending time in his crate. He is not destructive in the house and only talks when he needs to go outside. He is a really easy going guy who likes the other dogs and gets along well with all of them, but does not depend on them as some deafies do. This guy will quietly steal your heart, so be ready when you meet him.
