How can one possibly resist a sweet, loving, low energy guy that trusts you? He’s just 3 to 4 years old with a reddish fawn coat and black muzzle. Albus is sight impaired and he gets around just fine, especially with good light. He is an average size male at about 56 pounds and is heartworm negative. He is dog friendly but as with deaf dogs, it may take the other dogs a little extra to figure out he is a bit different; not rude, just different. Slow, supervised introductions help him meet new friends.
Albus is a very sweet guy who loves to snuggle and be near enough for touches and pets. He is house, crate and leash trained but doesn’t really need to spend time in his crate as he is a good boy. He loves the attention from adults and children at ABR adoption days, but like our deaf dogs he cannot be placed with young children; older kids who understand his limitations and needs are OK.
Albus would be great with someone in an apartment or townhome who likes to take walks. Someone patient and attentive who likes having a companion Boxer who relies on them. He may even like having a fur buddy that lets him follow them about. He needs some assistance getting up and down on couches and cars, but steps and patience can help him learn how to do it. Albus is a happy guy who just lives life at a bit slower pace and needs someone to keep pace with him.
